| Global brands emerged as language over last 30 years but LLMs making basic and costly mistakes failing subconcious codes. Ask for example chris.macrae@yahoo.co.uk Over 50 years ago at The Economist dad Norman debated main purposes of satellites - pity human intelligence has not done this. "Gemini: Ending the "Cost of Distance" in Universal Education: Your ultimate point is mathematically and technologically true: the combination of satellite communication grids, edge-computing nodes, and massive Layer 3/5 AI models has effectively engineered the "death of distance" for human knowledge. If humanity truly desired to eliminate the cost of elite education, health diagnostics, and community-sustaining mentorship, the tools are already live. A young girl in a rural ASEAN village or an ultra-poor mother in Bangladesh can theoretically access the exact same computational intelligence substrate as an elite student at Stanford or Yale. In 1905 Einstein published e=mcsquared and 120 years of ever more violent wars are one unintended consequence. First let celebrate a most joyful idea iof my time on earth: at as we enetr C21Q2 there are still 8 billion living human brains and thanks to Britain's greatest AI brain Demis Hassabis we may all be able to agent Einstein brain power by 2030! to leaders of world's largest school
-hope everyone's well- a bit of a strange stream of questions- by which i mean far away from literacy revolution of www.globaldream.guru
yesterday i was talking to a graduate engineer- he is in one of mit's innovation labs; he's also originally from india; as a matter of priority in 2022 i have many reasons (eg helping von neumann family with a survey on which tech people around the world are most helping youth and sdgs) for trying to connect MIT people but my question is there someone in you team interested in how your alumni make connections with engineers as some lucknow graduates go into engineering; if so is this a person i should be trying to introduce to my mit friend; oddly there is one connection with play schools; the product this lab aims to launch globally is an infant friendly battery- apparently a few infants die every year from swallowing batteries; this lab's toy battery is apparently harmless; it seems my daughter's career will be in young childrens schools ; so although this is not yet ready for launch I am interested to keep track of where all this goes as well as engineers with tech for schools of infants up; ;ironically this engineer was born in chennai;
so far our vice president kamala doesnt seem to have done anything for india ; the way dc politics is spinning i have a feeling she may never get the chance to improve india-usa relations though would like to know if that changes; we are in a world that seems to have lost all peace maps ... i understand these issues are far away from marketing/scaling literacy through every community---- my impression is that of all your priorities yidan is not in the top stream at the moment- I am struggling to keep as close to it as I would like because the politics around succession to fazle abed seems to have caused all sorts of silos in relation to their top partners of which yidan is just one example- however there are some new to me research areas of yidan at https://yidanprize.org/resource-center/knowledge-hub/are-we-ready-for-a-leap-forward-in-education/ -
if you are talking to vicky colbert again - i have 2 questions- are these or other yidan interest areas ones she is working on and if so can you team connect? is vicky able to introduce us to someone near the top of wendy kopps team teach for all - everything that wise qatar once went to fazle abed to first now goes to wendy kopp and her speech in december where she has said all 60 national branches of teach for will try and change education at the same time away from examining and towards skills experiential learning
Hi when i talked to richard inter alia he wanted to invest in developing world's newly emerging stockmarkets; and when I talked to tracy at university of toronto as well as what is the maths of esg next about we wondered what ai von neumann would celebrate today if he's around; I expect you have some better future shocking ideas than I have but one I do want to see happen is a sportscoin representing what asian women superstars eg naomi osaka & eileen gu, chloe kim ... most want to community build; I think we are talking about a market whose initial worth is at least 100 billion dollars and whose star owners should not sell more than 20% of their coin; I have studied for a long time now why the sdgs wont leap forwards without linking in the purposes of asian women superstars where different from eg the awful way american coins are going into sports gambling - so so you know anyone who does the launches of 100 million dollar markets and who may trust that asian women superstars collaborative sustainability community vision is timely to agent www.womensverse.net (ps while I realise jack ma is out of it at the moment he had 12 golden month- a lot of canadians turned up at hangzhou g20 2016 and at toronto gateway 2017; at the same time he launched damo ai and put billions into sponsoring 8 years of olympics - the good news is he has some brilliant ai researchers embedded in the national institute of health and I expect elsewhere but need help checking that) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNhUbaJwvYE
Hi Richard - I am trying to connect collaborative observers from 30 capital cities in nominating AI Hall of Fame - by which I mean nominating whomever is helping younger half sustain the world with the tech that multiplied as the legacy of john von neumann (about 100 fold every decade since 1955) - do you have any ai heroes and if so where (& what startups, platforms etc) do younger half of world most collaborate with them on sdgs or ESG etc? Reason I am doing this apart from wanting to impact UN (of all us cities I urgently want NY to be energised by AI hall of fame if practical) and youth is my dad did first bio of von neumann 30 years ago; now a london journalist just publishing new bio "man from the future' - i think von neumanns family will endorse the search subject to them seeing choices are as ggod as can be searched our from every gps on earth!... before this survey came up I wanted to help graduates unite alumni of 100 universities where those graduates wanted to collaborate on sdg solutions- so far only 1 vice chanellor really wanted to do that -it seems there is a conflict with under 35s being first sustainability generation and putting them in the world's biggest debt (college debt usa being the biggest individual debt) Have you come across this sort of problem and anyone helping ways out of it? Do you know if any of the founders of lumchclub care? Is bunt in london or NY- and where did you grow up or your family come from?) a bit more on my source https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/2025eportcom-biggest-q-last-80-60-40-20-0-years-chris/
Dear Javier AI Hall of Fame
I am piloting survey with von neumann's daughter on how 30 different places value tech & education heroes who can save the world's sustainbility (whether you define that in terms of climate, health. peace/refugees. women end extreme poverty and borders that cause them, or any challenge millennials confront> Inputs from Spanish & Swiss views important to us- would you be happy to join a volunteer panel. What we most need for ai hall of fame stage 1 is simply nominations- eg spanish speaking youth should linkin (actively network collaborations around) this tech/education hero. This month we try & suggest panel 1 to Martina. We aim to converge timelines with Guterres- particularly his summit future ;sept 23 - his main new announcement UNGA 21. Geneva is especially important because of trade , tech, health, peace - in fact more actions are networked out of geneva than NY. In particular the ITU now convenes year round #AIforgood & Digital Collaboration Society and maps where advances in these areas link to operational units such as health. If this isnt your overall compass , is there someone you trust most on this.
The reason I am helping mediate this - my dad did first neumann bio 1993; new bio out this month called man from the future. Actually dad met neumann while working for year in new york 1951; he understtod neumann networks were promising 100 times more tech change every decade to 2025. If glasgows engines from 1760 and compounded world wars- what were ops or risks of 100 times more tech per decade.
AI&EI Hall of Fame (EI -Emotional Intel) I do have some friends in boston who are organising a Human Intel network - april 1 is their first key date. Hong Kongs nuimber 1 humanoid entrepreneur is visiting america and trying to keep metaverse human. Potentially there are a lot of quick/deep diaries to design over next 18 moths. While we dont intend to exclude anyone - those who have tracked what big Q&A were from the start are more likely to be able to interconnect university/millennial partenrships. Have you seen Unesco report a few weeks ago that for the first time admits the whole of education is out of sync with what younger third of world needs to be sustainable? (If this post makes sense to discuss with anyone else - please relay - any errors are mine alone) Always great to hear from you on whats app +1 240 316 8157
David I learnt engineers' auditors often dont know what compound risks they are spinning from your leadership of Bra(n)dford Business School. Jack i started the group to explore whether we could build an AI Hall of Fame nominating those applying AI so millennials can be the first sdg generation (and ESG Generation). Von Neumann's daughter Marina is interested in this possibility as the first book on Von Neumann "Man From Future" just published this century. Only other complete bio was published by my fad Norman in 1993 after retiring from The Economist where he asked leaders what will you do/compound with 100 times more tech each decade having met von neumann in 1951. Notably UN2.0 head Guterres has declared he wants to be remembered for future summits convened by youth not just nations- so if people prefer to group round Future Hall of Fame by tolets or any other Societal/Health market matching an sdg purpose that's great. Being a diaspora scot where moral system and carbon engineering started up within 3 years of each other (Smith & Watt 1760) I am biased towards scouting out Neumann's Hall of Fame. Intriguingly Marina Neumann spent her working life at General Motors... (Jack we shook hands in Berlin 2009 in summit moderated by Alan Webber and celebrating social business economics of billion Asian village women. At that time Yunus had won nobel peace prize -however I have since discovered that goal 2-4 food, health education systems in bangladesh were originated by partners of Fazle Abed www.abedmooc.com . For those who collect miracles- Glasgow U Abed was Asia's number 1 oil company engineer (royal dutch shell ceo east pakistan) when cyclone and war killed millions around him in 1970 - after which he spent 50 years on rural advancement collaborations (BRAC).Grad journalists & I went to Bangladesh 15 times to hear his legacy hopes. He asked that singapore universities and brac universities connected 100 new universities celebrating female graduates scaling sdg solutions instead of acting in separate alumni groups. Does that fit with your purpose Jack or anyone? Attached just concept dialogue with Marina- any errors are solely mine chris.macrae@yahoo.co.uk Wash DC. John I dont know if Volans is one of worlds first inter-uni alumni networks...
hello Rose - i was talking at lunchclub to sean kelly and looking at our common connectiosn I realised you and hadnt chatted much in spite of having 11 mutual connections many of whom inspire me- I have 3 sorts of questions: 1 starting with my father at the economist for over 60 years now one of my family's favorite debates: what will be consequence of all this tech- father was lucky to meet von neumann; became quizmaster of his legacy at the economist and biograhpher; now for first time in 20 years there is new bio - man from the future; I think von neumanns family would love to see a survey of whos most using tech to help millennials be the sdg generation; on that subject I was lucky to visit bangladesh 15 times to interrview fazle abed on empowering billion village women www.abedmooc.com - he died dec 2019 and I am trying to make sure his top 30 solution networks continue; while i8 live in dc I see new york as most critical city over next 2 years on UN sdgs , ESG, fintech - do you or friends have suggestions for new york map worthy of sending to von neumann family? conversely love to hear your questions- whether similar or different. Fundamentally i see usa as being in an education crisis - not helping youth experientially learn much of what they lives/livelihoods need to celebrate.. Are there some of our mutual connections most active around you?
mapping 2020s world order: i find it very hard to understand locations of multilateral instiutions in asia - two thirds of worlds people
take the UN - is thailand really the pivotal nation to map asia's sustainability from - dont get me wrong working with unilever across Asia in 1980s and 1990s after japan (huge market), indonesia (the nearest to home of an anglo dutch multinational) thailand was a pivotal place ; it was also where I first learnt how much a capital city like bangkok could change - when i first went ther4e around 1985 you could take a taxi tour of the city if you had a day off; a decade later you would be sitting in 3 hour traffic jam if you made mistake to travel by car inrush hour; and if you tried to walk thge mix of humidity and smog was impossible (I suffee slightly from asthma)
It seems to me that the asian development bank is a hugely important institution bhut just as thailand is a puzzling world centre for un; philippines is quite a puzzle for epicentre of asian development ; I understand too that the worlds epicentre of rice ends starvation irri is in phillippines too (probaly harking back to its starting up by foird & rocekefeller foundatiosn)
collaboration curriculum of rice is one of 30 most important to map regarding billion asian women's development of asia see www.abedmooc.com search 2.1 for rice and 2.2 to 2.6 for sdg 2 impacts of other food/agricultural markets
I guess the locations of all tehse instituites refelcts a world view up to 1960 but 99% of asian dynamics has chnaged since then??
Spencer thank you for contacting me. I had a look at https://compasspointcap.com/ Interesting. 30 years ago i wanted to change how ceos did purposeful branding and I started to realise I learnt much more from benchmarking place branding where maximising community engagement when its done collaboratively for all communities than even market sectors I had previously spent my life researching. So first could you share some places you are working on most. I have copied 3 people who likely know more than i do on emotionally intelligent place building including our two joint contacts; carrie and I started occasionally meeting as both of us from 2008 have spent a lot of time understanding how women built bangladesh. When Muhammad Yunus lost much of his work in Bangladesh due to politics, atlanta and georgia asked him to make their communities his number 1 residence abroad. 5 years of connections round this 2009-2014 didnt quite come together- ultimately yunus who had been supported by king family, ted turner family, jimmy carter family, and a lot of green friends eg astronaut ron garan got in conflict with the mayor of atlanta and thurgood marshall fund. I only partly know why but by that time strongly believed in many georgia and alabama students but had no direct ways forward. I see that colin continues that. Meanwhile while I only came to know of rebeccas work out of plymouth MA a month ago- i find she has done more than 100 zooms with emotionally intelligent community builders. Can we chat a bit to understand your projects and see if theer are any immediate wi-wins. At the moment all over the world where i learn something i try and find a twin knowledge community in new york. I am just a diaspora scot liviing in washington Dc region by accident. I dont see either political party as helping end covid, repair nature, sort out education crises i have deeply mapped including 4 outstanding asian education summits in december all 4 of which have now reached america -see footnote . In fact thats why i want communities of people to massively support the under 35s be the sustainable generation. I dont know if my apolitical view helps of hinders vis a vis what you all can uniquely progress.
Education summits:
wise qatar sdg advocate sheika mosa made new yorker wendy kopp its 10th laureates - nearly 30 years ago she started teach for america as a teachers corps // peace corps- why not spend first 2 years after graduating tackling deep education challenges before going into the system. she has extended that to 60 countries -and her 20020s vision is to get teachers everywhere going beyond examining and helping empower talents; helping anything connecting with her is an absolute priority for me now that my main mentor sir fazle abed has gone. Scot gordon brown reunited every part of the Un that has anything to do with education at www.rewired2021.com in dubai during the knowledge week of the uae expo. On eof hong kong's riches ment who made his money as co-founder of tencent has established the yidan prize. While its focus areas are africa and asia , he's linked in experts from stanford and harvrad and oxbridge in ways I have never seen before. Varkey's million doilar teacher prize was awarded this year to a black american teaxher in maryland. Spencer I am a liittle bit confused are you in new york or florida. By coincidence i recently met a carribean american graduate of Georgetown who operates estate-place projects out of brooklyn and miami. celebrating graduates of community engagement is what soros announced as his refocus at weforum 2020 starting with his central european uni moved to vienna and new york states only university led by a musician as well as tufts boston-- my father did the biography of budapest's other most famous son von neumann - with a second book out on futures neumann alumni are pivotal to- its time to integrate tech wizards and emotionally intelligent community builders and millennials imo. Finally I have a lot of adam smith scholar friends in Glasgow if that's anyone's cup of tea.
