hello - I am writing to ask about ways to connect with the Real Play Coalition
from 2007 I made 15 visits to Bangladesh with pro-youth journalists to interview the late great Fazle Abed
my daughter works on playschools in maryland- I am trying to connect anyone who believes that over time playschools can change communities
this is a pivotal time in the usa as Biden has put 400 billion dollar budget into schools for 3 to 5 year olds but I would like to help start as many community /parent clubs as possible
do you already have regional chapters of people in USA who believe playschools can help change all schools in a region- I would say my journalist coalition and I have most connections in education in New York region but also in several southern states as my family part sponsored Muhammad Yunus southern states challenge celebrating student entrepreneurs through 2009-2013
my father at The Economist and I wrote The 2025 Report : a Future History back in 1984 where we argued why transforming education would determine sustainability; the reason I got to know Abed well is the Japan ambassador to Bangladesh introduced me as my father's east west surveys of sustainable futures were awarded the Japan Emperors Order of the Rising Sun (over a decade 2025 report was updated in local versions including Sweden's New Vikings 1993). My father was also Von Neumann's biographer so believed all generations uniquely needed to value millennials if Artificial Intel was to be humanised and sustainability won through every community
I try to follow all education summits concerned with child and teen centric changes to education in parallel to all age groups of girl power that Abed's 50 years of work linkedin ; i would like to understand where your partners intersect with laureates such as those at wise (where abed was the first laureate ) and Hong Kong Yidan prize who has made yidan luminaries a worldwide hunt for interdisciplinary contributions to education in line with Fazle Abed\'s legacy
Abed briefed us that he hoped brac university would be in the middle of opportunities for education to change sustainability of communities using his 5 dimensional model which connects disciplines relevant to the top 5 sdgs; if useful I can introduce Vincent Chang vice chancellor of the university to you; we also connect climate movements as my father's main archive hub were established with Adam Smith scholars Glasgow University (Abed's Alma Mater) from 2010 where we have also helped launch 2 academic jourmals aimed at future urgent collaborations
