Dear Tracy I would like to help do regional survey of linkedin 1 connections who either live in canada or were educated in Canada.. With John Von Neumann's family we aim to create AI Hall of Fame- ie networks of who's helping younger half of world apply tech to be the sustainability generation. Reason for doing this : more than anyone von neumann alumni gave humans 100 times more tech every decade (aka Moores Law). We dont think he would be pleased that yet again tech has put us so near extinction. Timing : my father did bio of von neumann in 1993; at t6he economist from 1950 meeting von neumann and asking leaders what will you do with next 100 leap of tech was biggest of 5 scoops my dads journalism was about. This month new bio man from the future is out. While we are not sure- we assume many places will want to review whats happening to the future- Gutteres promised 2023 UN summi9t on this. I think what I m,ost want to see is top 3 or 4 collaboration nominations per place across perhaps 25 places though the survey could work on interests different survey correspondents want to drill down. Might you be interested in being either Toronto or Canada branch. If relevant I can send you a file of my regional connections 1 on linkedin (not that5 all are active). I realise I may be coming from a practice or oversimplified journalist view but I talk to a lot of people who want to be sure we humanise AI- and this is one way to progress that with urgency. One more thing my neighbor at American University Amitav Acharya is advancing a multiplex window on the world not far removed from Dalio's new world order. This encourages eg graduates to form their own quads -can 4 way groups of graduates come up with some sdg solutions that singular national viewpoints are missing. I have worked most of my life mainly in Asia with 15 visits to Bangaldesh to understand women villagers development www.abedmooc.com - the fact that I live near washington DC is an accident due to my wife's work. I feel its time for smart cities to explore group collaboration ideas that Washington DC may be last to get to. I am just a Diaspora Scot which may explain my "heretical" view. Of course ultimately the von neumann family would choose which AI hall of fame nominations to advance...
